My ex and I purchased a boat together, but the financing was in my name with title in both names...After the breakup, he continued to make the payments and constantly promised from the get go that he would get the financing in his name as he is the one who kept the boat. (collier county, FL) After about a year of making payments, he decided that he couldnt do it any more and just quit. I've been floating the payments for the past year and have tried to sell it via friends and brokers down in Florida, where I no longer live. I finally have an offer, which is about 3/5 of what I still owe on the financing. I have already had the ex sign over power of attorney to a friend in FL who has been helping me since I dont live in the area any more...and since he is utterly useless...Is there any way that I can sue him for the rest of the money owed? If so, how?
