I lived in an apartment in 1997, and due to a roommate leaving the residence, i could not pay the full rent payment each month. I was subsequently evicted from the apartment. How long is the statute of limitations on this this judgement, it has been 13 years since i lived in this residence. I recently received papers saying the monies would be withheld from my paycheck if i dont answer this. What are my options? Isn't the statute of limitations on this long expired?
