DWI in someone else's car

My friend was driving my parent's car when he got ticketed for a DWI. Since we were in that car, I have the cop my parent's insurance card. Is this ticket going to go on their insurance record? Is there anyway to transfer it to the driver's insurance instead? Also, I paid for the car, but my parents put the loan and insurance in their name and for whatever reason my mom didn't want to transfer everything to my name even though it is paid off. If we did transfer everything before the court date could we put it on my insurance instead of theirs?
