dispute charge process

If I dispute a charge for service not rendered .

My CC filed claim against merchant & gave XX days to respond
and so far there has been no response & time frame is almost up.

what happens if merchant/merchant's bank just does not respond?

They will reverse the charges.

From what I know, from disputing charges myself, they will reverse the charges however make sure you get something in writing from the CC company stating that there was no response in 30 days (or what ever the time frame, usually 30 days). That way if the company comes back in time longer than that you have merit for them not to reapply the charges. Hope that helps.
