I am trying to get an expungement. During the process, it came back that I had a bad check charge from 1991.
I took care of the check. I assume that makes me guilty.
According to a statute, I believe I have to wait 5 yrs to try again for the expungement.
That will destroy me as I am a nurse and cannot find a job because I need an expungement of something dismissed before they will hire
Is there any way to have that charge dismissed? It was so long ago and I didn't even know about it until I petitioned for the expungement.
