Denied S.S.I as well as Oregon Health Plan.

A friend of the family has recently been diagnosed with Lou Garretts Disease, he cant afford his medication and has been denied Social Security, they say because he didn't ever really work enough so there for didn't pay into Social Security and he has also been denied the Oregon Help Plan, everyday he goes without taking his medication,chances are his life is being shortend, can anybody give me any information regarding this type of situation?
 
I don't know. You may need to speak someone locally. Health plans/insurance are usually there for insurance purposes when needed. The problem is that you are talking about an indigent person seeking free/subsidized living and trying to find a potential agency that might care for people in such a situation. This is one reason why our country is asking questions about taking care of our people who cannot care for themselves.
