I recently married 2 years ago. Within the past 2 years, I have found out that my husband has had creditors looking for him due to his last marriage. My husband is NOT good with money and our credit is horrible. We have so many medical bills and a few credit card bills. We closed the credit cards and only use cash now. We do not make enough money to pay all of our necessity bills and all the other bills. We are seriously thinking about filing for Bankruptcy, what would you advise? I totaled the balance to be close to $40,000!! Thanks for your advise:eek:

The vast majority of bankruptcy attorneys will give an initial consultation for free - I strongly suggest you contact a few in your area.

Nobody can make the decision for you.

One thing I will say though is that unless your husband changes his spending habits, bankruptcy isn't going to work in the long term.
