The victims were so curious, they listened to a pitch by an unknown person.

The dummies said they received a call from a man who identified himself as "James Marshall" who claimed to be a Bell County deputy sheriff, Maj. T.J. Cruz said Tuesday.

"The person advised each caller that there were warrants of arrest on each for not appearing for a jury summons," Cruz said.

Marshall is not a Bell County deputy, he said.

The caller told them that they could take care of the warrant by going to the Office Max store in Temple and purchasing a Green Dot Card.

THINK people, THINK.

Fools and their money are soon parted. (Thomas Tusser)

There's a sucker born every minute. (P. T. Barnum)

Stupid is as stupid does. (Forest Gump)

Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can't help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime: the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity. (Robert Heinlein)

At least the doctors were smart enough to see through the scam.

Today is open house at my wife's high school.
Just printed this and posed it in large font on her office bulletin board!
