one night while i was at work, my brothers friend thought it would be nice to help me out and open my computer and clean it, although I appreciate the thought, I did not authorize this action, as a result he damage my computer to the point to where it seized to operate, I tried to negotiate with him different options in order to solve the problem, many of these options were way below the value of the computer, but since it was unintentional i was trying to make it easy and inexpesive for him to solve our issue, he refuses to take advantage of these options, so now i i am forced to seek legal advice on this situation, i leased to own the computer so needless to say i paid more than the computer is worth, so I am wondering if i can take legal action against him, and if i can do i go after him for the value of the computer or the amount i paid for it?
thanks in advance for time an expertise

You can go after him for what it will cost to fix it. Get an estimate, tell him he can either get the computer fixed himself, pay you the repair cost, or get taken to small claims court.
