I live in Utah, & the insurance company this is about is IHC (Intermountain Health Care). I recently lost my job with a company I'd been with for just over two years. My last day of work was 3/28/08. That following Monday, 3/31/08, I refilled two of my prescriptions at the pharmacy, only paying my co-pays. I thought that since I had paid my full monthly premium for March, & that since the insurance company approved both medications, that everything was fine. Then just 3 days ago I get a letter from the insurance company saying I was not elligible for the coverage & that I now owe them the full cost of the two medications. Is this legal? I thought if I had paid my full monthly premium, that I was covered until the last day of the month that I last worked in. Is there anything I can do about this? Where can I go / look for info to help me out?
Thanks!!

It depends entirely on the terms of the policy. It is quite common, and quite legal, for coverage to end on the last day of employment.
