I received a court summons from National Credit Adjusters, LLC on behalf of My Cash Now (online cash advance). I received a cash advance for $400 last year. I paid approximately $100. Everytime I paid an installment, they added large fees. The amount of payment they are asking is $1497 + 17% interest and court and attorney fees if applicable. How do I avoid paying the additional $1000 + in addition to avoiding garnishment?

You might not be able to avoid paying the extra $1000. What was it for?

You might be able to avoid garnishment if you can work out a repayment plan with the collections agency.

Wait wait wait.

You were asking "how do I avoid paying the additional $1000". I thought this amount was some outrageous extra fees they had tacked on. It was for a cash advance they gave you? Forget my previous answer. You can't avoid paying it.

Whether it's too late to work out a repayment plan is up to you and the company. Give 'em a call.
