Hi. My wife and I are in the process of filing for bankruptcy. We are just waiting on the attorney to complete the filing. We just received a court summons for a written appearance on April 25th from one of our creditors. This is after we had told them we were filing ch 13. Obviously, they are hoping to get this suit through before the BR filing.
What should we do? I had mentioned it to the attorney's office, but they said don't worry about it. I'm not sure if they meant don't bother with it, or just don't stress out over it, that the BR will take care of it. Do we still need to go down to the courthouse and file the written appearance? What is going to happen with this? I'm afraid the BR won't happen soon enough.
