community service/traffic school

I got a traffic ticket in Beverly Hills CA. Can I request community service and/or fine reduction and traffic school and what are the requirements? Do I have to submit a letter before my court day?

Contact the court prior to the court date on the citation and ask about traffic school. Traffic school is not an option for some violations so it will depend on what you were cited for.

You can also inquire about a little known, but just as effective way out - DEFERRED ADJUDICATION.

It costs more, but if you do as instructed, it never fails.

If California allows it, it might be known ad DEFERRED DISPOSITION, as its sometimes called that in TEXAS, too.

You could contact a traffic law attorney & let him/her know what the ticket was for. He/she should be able to give you an idea of what your possible options are.
