On 4/17/06, my step-son missed his Ortho appt. There is a 35.00 fee for that. We can and will gladly pay it but on 4/19/06 a letter was generated that says, "You have repeatedly ignored all our contacts. Under State law, we can force payment by any of the following means:
-Attachment of your wages.
-Legal action in court.
-Levies on your property."

I contacted the office and told them that this is over the top for trying to collect a bill that is 2 days old. They apologized and admitted they sent the wrong form. The debt was dismissed.
Well... he missed another appointment last week and we received the same letter again within the same timeframe. I am more than happy to have my son pay this bill that he caused.... but I have to ask..... is this harrassment? "REPEATEDLY IGNORED ALL OUR CONTACTS?"
What are my legal options?
