Civil Pretrial Written Statement???

Hi,
I am being sued by a debt collection agency. I have to submit a written pretrial statement to the court for a pretrial conference. I have no idea what the statement should contain.
I am disputing this debt..... I have no recollection or record of it, my credit reports do not list it and they did not respond to a debt validation letter. Please help me, I am trying to do this on my own and don't know what the statement should or should not contain.

I am not a lawyer this is just my advice.

Print out a copy of anything you sent to or recieved from the company in regards to this "purchase". Explain what your side is, tell them all that you know about this issue just start from the beginning. I am assuming (from the word pre meaning before and trial well thats self explanitory) that this is just for the judge to get the idea of what the case is about. So just tell him the facts and as to why you are fighting it.
