Hi there. I live in Orange County, California.

Here's the basics:

- Sometime back in February, I lost my Visa Check Card; I went in a few days before the end of the month, to check my status, before paying rent, and found out that almost all of my money, was gone!
- Well over $3,000 was taken out, to pay something to a magazine I had never heard of!
- After a few weeks, working with my credit union (which is based in Colorado), I was able to get the money back.
- At the end of April, I received a call from my credit union, with the company claiming I signed for $3,600, plus an addition $25,000! The signature they produced is one of those little scribble things some people do...which I NEVER do, for just this sort of fear.

So, what I want to know, since these people forged my signature, is there any sort of Civil (lawsuit) I can bring against them?

Yes, if you know who they are, which I am sure you don't.

You need to make a police report. They will have the means to investigate things further for possible criminal action.
