We, the residents of a neighborhood were informed by the city that they were planning on installing a sidewalk along the street and on our property (the city easement, actually). The residents all signed a petition stating we did not want the sidewalk and hand delivered same to the Manager of Public Works and the Traffic Engineer. The city continues to survey as if the petition does not exist. What legal action is required to stop the city's sidewalk?
