Sex Crimes, Sex Offenders charged with not helping report a rape

My sister was raped by my cousins husband. My sister is a minor so he is being charged with stuatory rape, rape and also giving a minor alcohol. My cousin tried to stop her from calling the police so she is also being charged and was arressted today. My sister did not file charges against my cousin but the D.A did.She has a litte boy and we only wanted her husband to pay for what he did. Is there anything that we can do to help her or will it effect the case with the rapist.. Would we be able to drop the charges or should we just leave it as it is?

Only the DA can drop the charges. Let the system run its course. If you want to help someone, get your sister some counseling, she's likely to need it no matter where this whole thing goes.
