Dude must have loved the accommodations & the BUFFET at The St. Lucie County Jail!
    ================================
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) - A Florida man was re-arrested within minutes after he was released from jail for burglarizing cars in the jail's parking lot.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office says 37-year-old Casey Lewis bonded out of jail Thursday, only to be caught by deputies burglarizing several cars outside the jail.

Lewis wound up being “re-booked” at the jail on additional burglary charges and released again with a bond of $11,250.

Treasure Coast Newspapers reports Lewis originally was brought to the jail on a grand theft charge Off The Beat: Man accused of burglarizing cars ... at the jail .

Online court records showed no attorney listed for Lewis.

I saw this. It was rather incredible that he'd be stupid enough to burglarize cars in the very near vicinity of jail. There were some extra details in the article I saw - I think he stole an iPhone 7 and a few hundred dollars from several cars.

Yet another example of criminals being stupid. I see it all the time.

A former county high sheriff friend of mine said it offers lifetime employment for thousands of honest people.

There was a (now banned) poster From Another (see what I did there? ;) ) site that referred to Florida as a dumbazz state. Pretty much all states not in the northeast or Cali were dumbazz states according to him.

This is the site encourages people to state their opinions, as long as personal insults and invectives are avoided.

If that were said on this site I wouldn't ban a person for expressing a personal opinion.

I haven't seen other mods/admins do it, either.
I know our beloved founder/owner wouldn't do it either, as he's one the most calm, cool, collected, fair minded people I've ever known.

We all have opinions, don't we, mate?

That member was banned for his outrageous behavior. And then he came back under filthy user names. The admin finally file a law suit against him. He purported himself as a family law attorney but in actuality he was a paralegal. The site won the suit (50K).

His opinion about states south of the Mason-Dixon was his alone. The comment Tpatzo made reminded me a bit of him. :)

We've seen the foul user names a time or two.

    Good for them.

Most of the time the back and forth is harmless, and everyone gets a chuckle or two.

I mean every day there is a story about "Florida man" or "Florida woman" now.

There does seem to be a lot of craziness going on down there lately...not sure why.

Yes...I know. I meant that Vegas outshines Florida for nutters.

But there are terrible people in every state. Guy in TX said his fiancé 4 year old girl was taken from him by 3 mystery men after conking him on the head and leaving him on the side of the road. Unsurprisingly they have footage of him that contradicts his story. :(
