Hey all new here....

Here is my question:

I bought a new car last month in the beginning of January.
On the day of purchase we agreed on a deal on I applied to finance the car. I signed the loan agreement took all my paperwork and car and went home.
For example the loan I signed was through:
Star Credit Union
Borrowed - 20, 000
60mos loan

Last week I got nervous because I did not receive any coupon book from Star Credit Union, so I called them. They told me that I did not have a loan through them.
I called the dealership and was informed the loan was through another bank. For example Rockford Bank
I called Rockford Bank and confirmed that I did in fact have a loan through them.
The terms of my loan through Rockford Bank:
Borrowed – 21,000
63mos loan.

I never signed a loan through the second bank. All of my paper work and documants have Star Credit Union on them.
The difference in the loans borrowed is 1,000 and 3 months of payments.
Where do I stand? What should I do and ask for? If they want to give me the 1,000 and 3 months payments should that be paid to me or the bank?

Thanks,

Ask the lender to fax you photocopies of every document with your signature on it.

Post back when you get that info.

Yes, I already asked the second bank to send me the documents. They told me I had to wait 60 days form the date I bought the car(Jan 3) So, in 2 weeks they will send me the paperwork.
I did question the dealership and they are bending over backwards for me from offering me: money back, freebies, and to rewrite the loan through another bank and 2% lower interest rate.
When I get the documents I will post again.

Just an update... I got the paperwork I was looking for. (A copy of the loan contract with the second bank) The contract has my name on it, but I did not sign the contract... someone signed it...

The dealership has been bending over backwards for me by offering freebies, they even want to pay off the loan and rewrite the loan contract through another bank at a lower interest rate... I told them I will not do anything until I get a copy of the contract and see what happened

Now that I have the proof that they tried to pulled this scam... I am thinking about meeting with the GM and/or owner and telling them just pay the car off (20K) and we will call it even... I am sure if this got out with the local news they would lose many customers and $$$$, not to mention if the AG's office was informed
