I'm curious to know if the Ohio cannabis industry, or any cannabis industry in the US are legally bound by the federal HIIPA laws? Considering can abuse is a federal crime, I don't see how any cannabis patient could ever sue for a HIPAA violation. Has there ever been a successful lawsuit against a provider or dispensary for a HIIPA violation? Thanks in advance.

A person or company cannot sue for a HIPAA violation. Your sole remedy is a complaint to the department of Health and Human Services,
