My fiance is from Canada and is currently in the US on a TN Status for work. We plan on getting married this summer, and I'm a bit confused as to the order of the paperwork. Also, once we start the paperwork, will he have to quit his job since his TN is no longer valid? So -
1. We file the Adjustment of Status immediately after we get married? Whats the number of this form?
2. What other forms need to be filed with the Adjustment of Status? What forms enable him to work?
3. Is there a period of time between his Adjustment of Status and any work authorizations where he is not able to work?
4. What is Advance Parole and how do we get it? (we'd like to visit his family in Canada for xmas)
