My wife and myself have law problems. 1 year ago I was asked to take a u.a at my wifes half way house i did and it was hot for meth. within 1 hour my wife and son were gone. I started to drink and do drugs while my wife went to the halfway house my son went to live with my sister in law and i was good with that. My sister in law and i were in contact for several weeks and social services wasnt involved at all. I told my sister in law and as well as social sevices that my son was in the best place possible at the time. I didnt fight not having him because in my mind i was not in any condition to have a three yr old in my care. About a month after my son went to live with his aunt social services decided to get involved. My son by then was already in a differnt county. My question is can social services get involved in another county and make demands on me when their never was police contact or anything to that extent.and can they go to whatever county they want. I went back to prison for 6 months and when i got out i was given a treatment plan which i followed until it got overwhelming. We never abused our child other then the fact of being high a few times when he was with us. I want to know can social services get involvedwhenever they choose and jumo from county to county making demands on me for what they say is im around dangerous people which is 100% a lie

Step back and look at what's happened.

You tested positive for meth. It seems that you didn't complete the case plan. They really have no choice but to make sure your son is safe and yes, being on meth, is invariably going to result in you being a risk.

All you can do at this point is get an attorney.
