Visitor, Guest can my landlord charge me for overnight guests

I live in a motel that the owner has turned into monthly rentals. There is no lease or rental agreements. Can she legally charge me for overnight guest's? She's charging $10 for every night they stay.

Motels and hotels have different rules from normal leases.

Depending on the exact circumstances, the owner may be able to charge extra.

I'd be more concerned though that your rights are limited if the owner decides that she no longer wants you there.
