Can I Correct Date Of First Use After Trademark Application Filing?

I recently filed an application for trademark use and we are in the final process. We just need to file the intent to use and wait for final approval. However, after looking through some old files, I am finding that I started using the mark earlier than initially stated on the trademark application. Can I file a Statement of Correction? I have the proof of use so that's not a problem. What will I need to correct it if this is allowed? And, I guess the first question is, can I correct it after filing the application?
