Friday night I purchased a brand new Nissan Titan and Saturday I noticed when removing the passenger side floor mat there was a puddle of water on the carpet, I then called my dealer an told them of the situation and ofcourse they assured me it was nothing but I then made a search online for "nissan titan wet carpet" and a ton of complaints popped up.

After reading many of these complaints none seemed to have a positve outcome so and I really dont want a new truck that has had the carpet soaked the day I took it home.

Can I return or back out of my car loan or ask for a new vehicle?

What state are you in?

Many states have 'lemon laws" which might cover your situation. You shoudl also have some protection under general consumer protection laws. Your state attorney general's office can guide you on where to look.

You should also contact the car manufacturer (Nissan) directly and see if they will pay for repairs.

I'd also call the bank you got the car loan through to see if they have any advice.

Hopefully that gives you a place to start.

Good Luck,

Ibis
