My father recently passed away, in Essex County, Newark, NJ. My brother, who lives in the same state, told me that he has found papers making me the beneficiary, and thus entitled to receive my father's pension checks. Since then, there has been a lot of conflict with my siblings, and I fear that they will either try to take me to court to contest this decision, or somehow cause other problems for me. Is there anything that they can do to negatively affect this?
