I just saw that Governor Kathy Hochul of New York State just passed a 20MPH speed limit law that impacts New York City and really has nothing to do with safety. It is all about collecting money by using speed trap cameras by reducing car speeds to such ridiclously low speeds that using them almost inherently creates a revenue source. Is there a way to defeat this speeding ticket law on the basis that it is not rationally related to legitimate purposes?

I think that this is what they want to push actually, getting people to ride bicycles instead of using cars, even though it often makes little sense. Nobody is going to transport their family in a bicycle or ride to New Jersey or many other areas in New York City. This is a big fail.
