Generally grandparents aren't granted rights over a parent's wish. What state are you in? Do you think she is trying to get custody? Something more may be going on but you haven't given the forum any details to respond to. How old are you now, how old is the child, are you able to provide for the child and so on...Does she (grandma) just want visitation or is she asking for custody? Are you self-supporting, on welfare, in other words what is going on? Is the father involved and paying support?
