Can a downpayment on a car be refunded?

I recently went to purchase a car about 2wks ago. The dealer said that all was good with finding a finance company. All I needed was to get the insurance for the car. To make a long story short, they forged paperwork, unknown to me. I do not want any trouble with the law...Is there a way, I can return the car & get the money for my downpayment back?

yes if they forged d=anything they shouldnt thats a void of contract... if they didnt find out if the deal is funded (proceeds from the bank to the dealer on your deal) if not drop ins. a deal cant fund without it... hope this helps hammer
