My jurisdiction is: Kansas

We had our house on the market and found buyer. She insisted on having a new furnace, air conditioner, carpet, and a couple of other things, all in place by closing. We were supposed to pay for the carpet at closing; we paid for everything else prior. When it came time to close, her lender drug their feet a couple of weeks, then said that they would not give her the money, so she decided not to pursue buying the house any further. We are now stuck with a bill for ~$900 dollars for the carpet, which she picked out, and we felt was unnecessary. Is there any way she could be held liable for any portion of this expense?
