I have a lease until July 1st 2008, my landlord told me she wants to sell the property but would not kick me out. Now I have found out by someone other than her that the property has been sold and they close on the property on April 10th, 08. What are my rights? And legally can she do this since I have a lease and nothing in the lease does it mention her selling the property. She told me if she sold it she would just give my lease and my 750 deposit to the new owner and I would have to pay her. I would rather be let out of my lease. Can she do this?
