Breaking a Lease breaking a year lease 5 months early

We want to break our lease because the company who owns our apartment keep saying we owe more money because they get our rent late when we pay on time I have the money order receipts they still yet to fit the problems we call about and we've been here for almost 2 years now and the upstairs neighbors are rude, loud n slobs and they have 3 dogs and 1 is not nice at all almost attacked my boyfriend and I don't want my 1 year old son around them dogs at all don't feel safe there's more reasons why I want to leave too

You can ask if the landlord will allow you to leave early. If it is so agreed get it in writing.
