Hi, I was living at my home in S. Fl. and with my boyfriend in Chicago, Ill.
He kept his 70 yacht in S. Fl. and we traveled back and forth.
My Jeep Grand Cherrokee Orvis was in Chicago, and I decided I was going to put it up for sale. He gave me a car in Fl. I used here.
Aprox. May 2002 I called from Fl. and said I was going to come get my jeep.
I'm then told he pd off the bank loan and sold the jeep. I asked how, why, without me, how much, wheres my money? etc...
My mailing address was at his house in Chicago, & I did later recieve the payoff note from the bank in Fl.
We've since parted, and I've continued to ask for my things and the $10,000 for the jeep. He says when he has time...
I recently called and asked him if we could settle this without going to small claims court. ( This before I knew small claims is only $5,000.)
His responce was lets at least make it fun and do it on a court tv show.
I don't find it so amusing.
I was told by an attorney friend that he would sue for triple the amount of the vehicle etc...
What exactly can I sue for, and what steps should I take?
