My step-mother in CA has been threatening to divorce my father who is 92, cannot see or hear, and has early signs of dimentia. Now she is saying she's disappointed because she learned she cannot legally divorce him due to his health, even though he could go into an assisted living facility. Is it true that one cannot divorce a spouse who is physically declining? Sounds like bologna to me.
