Purchased a used vehicle from a private owner and have owned 11 days. It has been in the shop twice as of 9 days in to it. I have no title in hand until the holding company releases it to him. 3-4 weeks from now.Yesterday we took the car for its first "long drive" approximately 45 miles, on our way home it blew the motor. What are my rights?

Generally when you buy a used vehicle, you buy as is - it's buyer beware (unless the seller gives you some type of warranty - rarely happens in a private sale). It seems you are going to have to pay for any repairs yourself.

I hope you get the title situation resolved.
