Being sued twice by same company

In March of 2006 I received a summons regarding a disputed debt from a law firm in Phoenix. I replied with an answer and a few weeks later I was sent a disclosure statement to fill out. I got all of my evidence together, law theories it asked for etc. and sent it off to the law firm. My evidence showed I paid the debt in full. The law firm sent me a letter to sign for a dissmissal with prejudice, I signed it and of course made a copy. A few weeks later I received paper work from the courts stating it was dismissed with prejudice. Now it is June and another law firm in New York is threatening a law suit for the same debt by the same company. My question is this: can I be sued for the same debt more than once?
