My friend was arrested and sentenced to five months for a parole violation. His release date was in november. He also has an Immigration hold, but by my understanding of immigration law they only have 48 hours to pick him up or he should be released. Its now well into january and they have not relased him nor has immigration picked him up. What rights does he have? Who can I call? Hes currently being held in San Quentin, California.
