I would like to know if it is lawful for a loan company agent(s) to come to your home and violently bang on your doors and windows while screaming demaining you to come out of your home. I was awaken from my sleep to this dreadful act and felt my life was in danger, because I had no ideal as to what was going on. I also felt that my home was being violated from the banging on the windows. I would like to know is it lawful for finance agents to act in such a manner?

Of course it would not be acceptable behavior! The Fair Debt Collections Practices Act covers collection practices in all states and can be found here:

http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpa/fdcpact.htm

See specifically § 806. Harassment or abuse [15 USC 1692d]
