I have lived in a basement for more than one year, my landlord sometimes fix the heat,or electric wire,or etc. The problem is my place gets full of dust, very dirty,smells,and sometimes difficult to breath due to the dust. Also, the job of cleaning up is always on me. Is there any law can protect me? Did she violate any law besides renting out basement? And what will be her penalty?
