Help! I signed up with Bally's total fitness 10 or 11 years ago when I was 18. The gym had just opened. They told me that if I signed up for a if I signed up for a personal trainer for more than 10 sessions, then I could pay month to month for the gym membership for as long as I wished to use the gym.
I used the gym for a few years. Then I was diagnosed with a recurring, debilitating illness (had to go on disability). I spoke with the gym, they said my membership would be cancelled. I married and moved away, never heard anything after that.
Flash forward more than 10 years later, I just move back in with my parents and today recieved a letter from Asset Acceptance LLC trying to collect $2,568.88 for Bally's???!!!???!
Hello? ...is this legal? Can they do this? Help! What do I do about this??!
