How long can a county take to return bail money. My wife was in court on November 6 2014, afterwards we were told my bail(I posted all of it myself) would be mailed to me in the form of a check. It is now almost March and everytime I call they tell me it is a slow process. I am getting worried about my $1000. Is there anything I can do?

Once you've done that, you can complain to the county commissioner who oversees your district.
You an also contact the county judge (the one that oversees your county).
Its been my experience that bond is returned within 90-120 days.
In the rare cases I've seen go longer, the person(s) was (were) under investigation for other charges, and was (were) eventually indicted.
