Bad Water In Rental Home

Hi...

We rent in Colorado... I have a question about the water situation.
When we first rented the unit the water was consumable, and then all of the sudden we got notices saying that the water was not consumable, and that we should avoid drinking it...

Are we eligiable for reduced rent now..?...

Would this be something acceptable to you? How could you wash your dishes safely? I would think you could walk away from the lease. You may want to renegotiate the lease with your landlord if you really want to stay. I'd send a letter, certified return receipt, addressing the issue and your intentions first.
