I began paying payments on software for my business. After 3 months and 3 payments, I realized that the software falls far short of my expectations. I want to stop making payments and switch to some software being sold by another company. I did not sign a contract with the original company, but no warranty was provided by them concerning the software, either. I don't want them to refund the money I already paid, I just don't want to continue buying it. I sent them a message telling them the software did not perform to my satisfaction, and that I do not wish to continue paying for it, but I haven't heard back from them. Can they take me to court to force me to continue buying the software?

If you have not entered into a formal or documented contract stating length of time and all that.........You should not face problems. I am surprised they offered you the product with no agreement. You might want to check. Well maybe they just need advance notice.
