Background Check

I was convicted of a class D felony misdemeanor approx. 20 years ago. Will this show up on a background check done by a potential employer. Please answer soon. Thanks.

There is no way to know. There is not a universal cookie-cutter "background check" out there. Whether it will be found depends on the depth of the background, the nature of the employment, basic identifying and background info provided, and the state where you live. A background check can be little more than a review of the application by a manager and maybe a phone call to a past employer, to a full blown criminal history check and in-depth interviews with friends, family, neighbors, and people you have only met once in your life.
