Wondering the average time frame it takes before a trial date or plea is given and the case is closed?

Again, every case is different. Your matter seems to be involving a vehicle theft and drugs with at least two separate defendants.
My guess would be that it won't be over for several months at least if you are both fighting the charges. It could be over faster for one than the other.
Unless you both enter guilty pleas, which would be foolish, it will not be over quickly.
