Assault & Battery Assault case

I am taking a criminal law course at my school (never tried this), and we are taking a situation from a book and turning it into trial. I am the defense attorney.

Witnesses:
Expert witness-medical examiner
Expert witness-Psychologist
Eyewitness-Mentally Unstable

I also must write a closing statement.
I will take any oppinions, suggestions, ideas, anything.

Also, if anyone knows the book A seperate peace By John Knowles, I am defending Gene, in the trial concerning his assault on Finny. This occurs when gene jounces the tree branch and Finny falls and brakes his leg.
