I got a misdemeanor over 4 years ago for harrassment when I was in college. I volunteerily went to the police station where they read me my rights and I signed a confession. I ended up serving community service and had a two year probation, for them to remove it from my record. However, I talked to a lawyer and they said that it will never go away. I was wondering if this is going to affect my visa renewal process? Also, is there a way that I can check on my record for free or relatively cheap? Thanks in advance for reply
