Criminal Law Apply for Naturalization with DUI

I had DUI in March 2002 and was convicted for that. I was one year probation which was completed successfuly with ASAP program. I have had no convictions since then. I wa eligible to apply for citizenship in August 2002 but have waited till date ..Will my DUI effect my citizenship process...what are the consequences.....

Since a simple DUI (that means without additional factors like a prior DUI or driving without a license etc.) is neither considered to be an aggravated felony nor a crime of moral turpitude you probably won't have problems because of that conviction.

But as always, to be sure one would have to know all the details.
