Criminal Law ANY chance in my situation to successfully get permanent residency?

My last re-entry to US was on F-1 in Sept 1995. I switched to H-1 in 98 and due to my own stupidity, I got into trouble and ended up with a single count felony for illegal credit card use. I've maintained my H1 status so far and currently I am talking to a girl, seriously about marriage. She's naturalized US citizen. My question is: is there ANY way I can have a repreive with immigration law to avoid getting my Change of Status application denied and get my permanent residency through this marriage?
